The Perfection of Energy - The four stages of jhana & the four noble Truths
We read further on about the faculties of concentration and of panna:
“And from what point of view should the controlling faculty of concentration
be regarded?
From that of the four stages of jhana.
And from what point of view should the controlling faculty of insight be
regarded?
It should be regarded from the point of view of the four noble Truths.”
Panna which is insight knowledge and which knows the true nature of realities as
it is developed stage by stage, is the indriya, faculty, of panna. However it has
only reached completion when it has realized the four noble Truths.
