Moha is a Pali term commonly translated as ignorance or delution. Moha is not the same as lack of worldly knowledge such as science or history, but it is ignorance of ultimate realities. Moha is the root of all that is unwholesome. Every akusala citta is rooted in moha. It is firmly fixed, it always lies latent and it is hard to eradicate.
