9 We live alone in the world I
We believe that there are many people around us, but that is thinking. It is hard to accept this truth. Citta thinks of relatives and friends who exist. However, in the ultimate sense, a person is citta, cetasika and rupa. Citta is consciousness, cetasikas are mental factors arising with citta, and rupas are physical phenomena. Seeing, hearing ... and thinking are citta. Love, anger, ignorance, for example, are cetasika. Visible object, sound, smell, taste, tangible object are rupa. Whenever citta arises, it experiences one object and then falls away. When visible object appears we take it immediately as a person or a friend, but that is thinking on account of the experiencing of visible object.
